WebFusion Offers Low-Cost E-Commerce.
2005-02-24, HostMan.biz PIPEX's shared hosting business WebFusion (webfusion.com) announced on Thursday that it has introduced a new e-commerce solution offering a Web store for under £300 a year. WebFusion says its E-Shop is a cost-effective solution for supporting a mail order business or a retail store with a secure online trading presence, and an alternative to running Web stores via online auction sites. The company says the UK is leading the European pack in e-commerce, with 30 percent of consumers making more than 16 purchases online in 2004, compared to 19 percent across Europe according to the European Interactive Advertising Association. E-Shop combines the Actinic and Miva e-commerce software with WebFusion's hosting expertise. E-Shop is available in several packages. Miva Web Shop, a comprehensive online administration system that enables users to manage their shop front easily. Actinic Web Shop enables users to make changes to their Web sites offline before uploading to the hosting supplier. Actinic also integrates to customers' back-office invoicing systems such as Sage Line 50 or Quickbooks. "There are significant opportunities for organisations or individuals looking to create an online trading presence with over 25 percent of UK consumers spending £1,000 or more online in the last year, compared to a European average of 15 percent," says Rick Flood, GM of SME Hosting for WebFusion. "With E-Shop weve developed a platform that enables traders to create a scalable e-commerce solution, quickly, securely and cost-effectively." |
