RegistryPro to Launch .pro for Engineers.
2005-02-18, HostMan.biz Domain registrar RegistryPro (registrypro.com), a subsidiary of Web hosting provider Hostway (hostway.com) and exclusive operator of the .pro domain, announced this week that in preparation for the launch of the .eng.pro domain, it has revealed the first fifteen engineers to register .eng.pro, a domain for professional engineers. During Engineers Week in the US, which takes place February 20-26, 2005, the .eng.pro domain will officially open to the engineering community. The offical release date is February 21. "RegistryPro is pleased to extend its services to the highly important engineering community," says Michael DelCiello, general manager of RegistryPro. "In honor of this profession and to kick off the .eng.pro domain, we celebrate the accomplishments of these distinguished engineers." The .eng.pro domain certifies the status of engineering professionals, who must pass verification processes set by national licensing boards in their respective countries in order to be eligible for the domain. The .pro domain is also available to doctors, laywers and accountants. |
