Internet services provider Cogent Communications Group Inc. (cogentco.com) announced on Tuesday that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 for its sale of up to $86.3 million in common stock in an underwritten public offering. Lehman Brothers is acting as bookrunner in the transaction.
The Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a registration statement concerning these securities but has not yet gone through. The sale of these securities is prohibited, as is the acceptance of any offers to buy, until the registration statement becomes effective.
Cogent specializes in providing businesses with high-speed Internet access and point-to-point transport services. The company's optical IP network spans 11 countries and provides IP services to markets in Europe and North America.
