BizRocket Interland Suit Continues.
2005-02-15, HostMan.biz BizRocket.com, Inc. (bizrocket.com) announced on Tuesday that it has made progress in its lengthy litigation against Atlanta-based Interland (interland.com), resulting in the scheduling of a court ordered Mediation Settlement Conference. The lawsuit, litigated in the Southern District, Miami Division, has BizRocket claiming multi-millions of dollars for damages in 1999 to 2000 against Interland Inc. BizRocket previously settled claims against two other defendants located in Florida and Texas. BizRocket.com, alleges that Interland was directly responsible for the loss and or primary use of the company’s Internet search engine and portal and computer server which were under Interland’s control and unjust conversion. The lawsuit claims that "Interland's malicious and tortuous actions resulted in the subsequent disappearance of the company's Internet Web site and related software." BizRocket says its principal and material asset was its software and Web Site, a popular Internet search engine and portal tool. |
