Web.com Migrates to SWsoft's PEM.
2005-02-08, HostMan.biz Web hosting automation software developer SWsoft (sw-soft.com) announced on Tuesday that domain registrar and hosting provider Web.com has begun migration over to the PEM data center automation platform. Web.com (web.com), says SWsoft, will use PEM to support its full range of integrated services, which includes hosting for the Linux, Unix and Windows platforms, VPS hosting, game server hosting and Microsoft Exchange hosting. "We made the move to SWsoft's PEM to align our infrastructure with our plans of integrating and centralizing our entire domain registration, Web and application hosting offerings," says Will Pemble, CEO, Web.com. From domain registration to Web hosting to email hosting, DNS management, Web site promotion and more, SWsoft has created the most comprehensive integrated package of services available." PEM is a data center automation solution that includes an Operations Support System and Business Support System. PEM's OSS provides centralized resource management, service provisioning and infrastructure management. The BSS components perform multi-tier resource usage accounting and billing. According to SWsoft, PEM enhances service provider profitability by enhancing marketing capabilities and increasing operational efficiencies.
