DedicatedCentral Officially Launches.
2005-01-26, HostMan.biz Web hosting and dedicated server provider DedicatedCentral (dedicatedcentral.com) announced its official launch on Tuesday. The company, operating from data centers in Chicago, Tampa, Austin and Vancouver, intends to target the small and medium-sized dedicated server market, offering a combination of competitive pricing, strong customer support and a zero tolerance approach to security. "We aim to be the premier dedicated server provider to mid-sized and small enterprises," says Ho Lee, general manager of DedicatedCentral. "Our combination of aggressive hardware and bandwidth pricing, along with our focus on security-related software puts DedicatedCentral a step ahead of the competition." DedicatedCentral packages start at $149 per month and include DC Spam Filter and Sentry Firewall, ServerWatch for monitoring and Remote Reboot. The company also provides a managed backup service, intrusion detection and several managed server applications, including ColdFusion, MSSQL, Miva Ecommerce, Urchin, Plesk and WorkgroupMail. All server offerings feature Dell PowerEdge technology and run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Fedora Linux and Windows Server 2003.
