Hurricane Electric Adds BitTorrent.

Web hosting and colocation provider Hurricane Electric (he.net) announced on Tuesday that it has added a new service feature that enables hosting customers to track and seed files via the BitTorrent (bittorrent.com), file transferring protocol.
Hurricane Electric says it is one of the first Web hosting companies to offer BitTorrent with its hosting offerings. The service is currently in a beta testing phase.
"The addition of this service will benefit our customers dramatically," says Mike Leber, president of Hurricane Electric. "To put it simply, transferring large files via BitTorrent is faster, uses less bandwidth, and decreases the load on the server, resulting in lower traffic costs and better overall server performance."
