Data Center Systems Launches New Tool.
2005-01-20, HostMan.biz Network infrastructure connectivity solution developer Data Center Systems (datacentersys.com) announced on Wednesday that it has redesigned its Intelligent Fiber System 9000 and OptiManager products, combining them under the name OptiWatch. Available in the first quarter of 2005, says DCS, the new product was developed for companies that need total control of complex data center connectivity. The IFS/9000 tool physically connects and manages diverse data center hardware, automatically recognizing and adapting to the moving and updating of fiber cable connections. DCS says it has added connectivity intelligence to the OptiWatch Phoenix Series products, which offer a new level of automated topology discovery, work order creation and change management. OptiWatch is also designed to take advantage of the Microsoft .NET infrastructure, adding user levels and Web access for remote management. "Our attention to leading connectivity infrastructure innovations continues to be a major value to the world wide customer base utilizing our intelligent infrastructure products. It is also what sets DCS apart from companies that simply provide physical connectivity within the data center," says Kevin Ehringer, CEO of DCS. "The OptiWatch(TM) enhancements will far exceed the capabilities of infrastructure management products available in the marketplace today and allow data center managers to take full advantage of recent innovations in server, storage and application virtualization." |
