HP Appoints VP of Managed Services.
2005-01-10, HostMan.biz Technology giant Hewlett-Packard (hp.com) announced on Monday that Steve Smith has been appointed to the position of senior vice president of managed services within HP Services, an IT outsourcing services and solutions provider. Smith replaces Uli Holdenreid, who was recently named managing director of HP Germany. HP says Smith brings extensive global IT services and outsourcing management expertise to his new position. He most recently served as vice president of global professional and managed services at Lucent Technologies, where he led the company's initiative to become the leading network consulting and integrator worldwide. Smith will report to Ann Livermore, executive vice president of the Technology Solutions Group at HP. "We are delighted to add such a strong global IT services executive to lead this critical business for HP," says Livermore. "Steve's extensive global management, business operations, sales and deal pursuit experience will be invaluable in building on our strong momentum." |
